Hope of all Hearts

3 Years ago this song was merely sang for my own pleasure and it was sang because I was so much "into" all the band's productions. However, when I saw one of my colleague shared this song on her facebook, I remembered the melody and the chorus of this song almost immediately. For some reason, her post was kept in my memories for quite awhile, perhaps God wanted to tell me something.

True enough, He spoke. I was reading a post shared by my Primary School friend, and it was about someone's experiences teaching and studying both at the same time offered by this tuition center. (if you want to know more: Click here [pardon for the adfly but I'm currently trying to earn a little cash for my teaching)

The experience that person shared was not a pleasant one, and when I read it, it gave me an awful taste in the gut. It is because that person's story was so much related to me. Nowadays, the society disregard young undergraduates to be teaching There were so many criticism that people like us should not be handling children's education.

But I have only one say towards the society: "Please do not put the blame and disregard these young people, we were told with promises that guaranteed us professional qualifications and experiences. We are young people who want to fulfill our hopes and dreams, regardless of how excruciatingly painful for the journey is ahead of us."

In fact, based on my One and half years experience in teaching, I can be honest to you, The so called "old, mature and have fruitful years of teaching experiences" teachers were rough, unkind, lazy (for some), over dependence on younger teachers. Most of the work were done and the children were handled by most of us young trainees. (Without a doubt, students will be much closer to us)

Yet We are treated like we are slaves, any single mistakes will grant us an eternity of criticism and disciplinary actions.

The school I am serving and working right now, I thank God that the qualifications given are real and well recognized internationally. (at least I hope) It is part of Roehampton University of London educational course. Yet, of course, the studying and working life are demanding and exhausting.

My life is like I'm trapped in darkness and trials after trials I will be facing. This song had given me hope that I will always sing of God's mercy and kindness as an offering. The hope of my heart is to praise him whenever I'm grieving or laughing. This song shall be the anthem for at least I finish this teaching road.

Pete, if you're a human, please never look down on young teachers.
They share the dreams to change the world through education.

Added on 16 March 14: The colleague mentioned was Cally Lim from RU Cohort 2
